ENSEMBLE

Faced with a world in crisis, where suspicions of its impending collapse spread through an endless digital stream, the duo comprised of Cécile di Giovanni & Mathilde Fernandez questions the meaning of togetherness in our contemporary context. They are exploring the capacity of bodies to unite around modern rituals: those that unveil and accompany the dissolution of one society, the emergence of a new one, and the uncomfortable, transitional state that lies between the two. The duo guides us through performances featuring a series of original rites designed to expiate, purify, and soothe the powerful emotions that grip our minds, projecting them into an uncertain future.

Curated by Vittoria Matarrese.
